2nd ERMN Meeting – The 2nd ERMN meeting was held from the 10th to the 12th of October 2023 in Bingen am Rhein

PURPOSE

SMARTA-NET organized its first in-person conference in Bingen am Rhein, Germany (near Frankfurt), hosted by our lighthouse site Kusel District on 11-12th October, with site visits planned for 10th October.

The 2nd ERMN meeting aimed to bring together municipality representatives and organizations to enhance rural mobility and foster sustainable transportation solutions across Europe, with the key focus on mobility’s role in support of rural tourism. The event offered a unique opportunity for the European Rural Mobility Network members to meet, share experiences, and discuss issues about rural mobility.

The event primarily focused on municipalities and local authorities, in line with SMARTA-NET’s commitment to its mandate from the European Commission. Beyond municipalities, various organizations involved in rural mobility planning and implementation were also welcomed to participate.
